The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT Department whilst also leading and managing various IT projects across the organization.
Main Functions:
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and IT equipment.
- Monitor system performance, up-time, and availability, and implement measures to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
- Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion, including project planning, budget management, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, and take proactive measures to ensure project success.
- Facilitate training and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the IT team.
- Work with Senior Management to evaluate, select, and manage external vendors, suppliers, and service providers to support IT operations and project delivery.
- Collaborate with Senior Management and key stakeholders to align IT initiatives and projects with organizational goals, objectives, and priorities.
- Participate in strategic planning activities to assess technology needs, evaluate emerging trends and technologies, and recommend IT solutions to support business growth and innovation.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related disciplines.
- Master’s Degree would be considered an asset
- Proven three (3) years of experience in IT Operations, as well as demonstrated experience in leading and managing IT projects with a strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, etc.
- CAPM, PMP or similar Certifications
- CompTIA Certifications
- Microsoft Certified Professional Certification
- Sound understanding of IT governance, risk management, compliance and operational best practices
- Flexibility to be on-call 24/7 during critical/emergency support requests
